The Third Plant of Hunan Shanshan New Energy Co., Ltd.'s Ningxiang manufacturing base conducted on-site investigation and testing of the compressed air system of the air compressor station. The analysis results revealed that the current compressed air system suffered from issues such as a mismatch between the main equipment and production processes, substantial efficiency loss in air supply equipment, improper matching of post-treatment equipment, substandard compressed air dew points, and issues like excessive air and pressure losses and a significantly increased gas-to-power ratio due to complex and poorly arranged piping systems. Additionally, the lack of scientific management made it impossible to achieve precise control.
The company’s compressed air system operated at two pressure levels: one at 0.35 MPa, with an average air consumption of about 32 m³/min, a gas-to-power ratio of 0.172 kWh/m³, and an average runtime of 8,000 hours annually, sending the total annual electricity cost to around 2.8244 million yuan based on an electricity price of 0.69 yuan per kWh for the company.
After the construction of Airboss’ intelligent air compressor station, the gas-to-power ratio was reduced to 0.089 kWh/m³ and 0.095 kWh/m³ for compressed air at 0.35 MPa and 0.5 MPa, respectively. The annual electricity cost was approximately 1.3837 million yuan, resulting in about 1.4407 million yuan of total electricity savings per year.
